Larkspur by Bo Bismark makes me want to go on a road trip and charge the roads to find a distant home, or spend a quiet night outdoors, gaze kept to the stars, huddled by a campfire. It is breathing new life into old metaphors. It is the fine line between knowledgeable and wise. It is timeless and yet perfect for being pensive about the past, excited about the present, and hopelessly hopeful for the future. Larkspur, like the spurred flower that is its namesake, is splendid and soulful and graceful with grit. This is woe and this is wonder; a cleverly candid collection of songs that will serve as memory-collectors; songs that will catch you saying "The life I chose is good."

And so it is very good.

Played from the heart and recorded from home. Thank you, Bo!
