Seaside Short Circuit

There are tiny conveniences that I do miss in Manila. Every week, there's something pulling at the ends of my patience: banking is never easy, power outages are a weekly thing, tap water is either dirty, slow, or absent-- you choose your battle. I've not downloaded or streamed a movie since we moved here, and I'm okay with that. However, there are times when I have to hustle around town, desperate to send one email.

It's the little things that eat you. It's the tiniest troubles that chew and chomp at your good graces. If you're not careful, you could crumble, one good thought at a time.

So thank goodness for the ocean! I don't want to know how worse off I'd be if I didn't live near it.
