Today, I was reminded to give credit where it is due. As thorough and thankful I make myself to be, there are moments that still slip past my good graces, and I forget to say a word in thanks. I forget to thank birds in the morning and how no one pays them to sing to us for free. I forget to thank my own forgetfulness for illuminating a second clarity. Sometimes, I forget to thank something as silly as the screenshot function on my phone and how easily it helps me do work, make notes, and remember things. I forget to thank whatever video makes Harold laugh when he thinks nobody's looking. He looks loved like that. And how I am pleased to know that, while he may be forgetful sometimes, he never fails to say thank you for things as ordinary as a dinner out, or another slow morning, waking up to birds singing.
