Day 84: A Year in La Union

84/100 → This is the early morning of our first year in La Union. We moved houses thrice, got hit by strong typhoons twice, thought of leaving once, and lived more than three hundred days building a new life by this coastline. We brought everything we owned that would fit in our car, only to give away half of everything as we settled in. Lived with less. Loved even more. Somewhere in the middle, we got a dog. We celebrated coffee. We celebrated choice-- because for the first time in our lives, we had a say to where we chose to grow. Our birthplaces are given to us by birth, other places are decided by education and work, but La Union was a place we gave ourselves.
